Vignette Edits and Refunds

Regulations by Country

Each country has its own rules regarding refunds and edits of vignettes. This depends on the technical capabilities of the toll systems, local legislation, and the offer of toll products in terms of validity periods, prices, etc. In some countries, online edits are possible, while in others the process is more difficult, requiring an in-person visit to a service point located within the given country. Below we present basic information about the possibilities of editing vignettes (and route tickets in Austria) by country:

Austria

The Austrian toll system is one of the most advanced, offering the broadest range of editing options. Thanks to the official cooperation of Autopay as a licensed reseller of vignettes, edits and refunds are available through an electronic form provided on our platform. Possible edits include:

• Edit vignettes that have not yet started their validity – open the Austrian vignette edit form ->
• Refund vignettes that have not yet started their validity – open the Austrian vignette refund form ->
• Edit route tickets that have not yet been used – open the Austrian route ticket edit form ->
• Refund route tickets that have not yet been used – open the Austrian route ticket refund form ->

Czech Republic

The Czech system also provides a wide range of vignette editing options. It is the only vignette system among countries that allows correcting a typo in the license plate number even after the vignette has started its validity. Czech rules for vignette refunds and edits:

• Vignettes that have not yet started validity can be edited (date adjustment possible up to 30 days ahead) in the following fields:
  • License plate number
  • Vehicle registration country
  • Travel dates
• Vignettes that are already valid can be edited with the following limitations:
  • Only 2 characters in the license plate number can be changed
  • The total number of characters must remain the same

Slovenia (SI)

Vignettes that have not yet started validity can be edited in the following fields:

• License plate number
• Vehicle registration country
• Travel dates

Slovakia (SK)

No possibility of editing or refunding vignettes. If a vignette has been purchased with incorrect data, a new vignette must be purchased with the correct information.

Switzerland

No possibility of editing or refunding vignettes. If a vignette has been purchased with incorrect data, a new vignette must be purchased with the correct information. This is due to the fact that in Switzerland only annual vignettes exist, which are valid from the moment of purchase.

Hungary

No possibility of editing or refunding vignettes. If a vignette has been purchased with incorrect data, a new vignette must be purchased with the correct information.

Bulgaria

No possibility of editing or refunding vignettes. If a vignette has been purchased with incorrect data, a new vignette must be purchased with the correct information.
