Information about the 1-day vignette

Vignette validity How is 1 day calculated?

The 1-day Austrian vignette is valid on the date specified in the order until 11:59 PM on that day. This means that if you purchase the vignette for the current day, its validity will end at the end of that day.

Blue pointer Example 1

A vignette purchased on 22/08 with a validity date of 24/08 is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 on 24/08.

Blue pointer Example 2

A vignette purchased and activated at 14:00 on 24/08 with the same validity date, i.e. 24/08, is valid from 14:00 to 23:59 on that day.

Important Vignette restrictions

  • The vignette does not authorize entry into special zones in Vienna.
  • The vignette does not cover selected tunnels and special sections (a separate fee is required).
