Vignette validity How does the 365-day validity work for the ECO vignette?

The annual Czech ECO motorway vignette starts at 00:00 on the selected start date and remains valid for 364 further calendar days (365 days in total), ending at 23:59 on the last day. As an ECO product, this vignette is available at a 50 % reduced price compared to the standard annual vignette.

Start date of 24-08-2026 — the ECO vignette covers the period from 00:00 on 24-08-2026 to 23:59 on 23-08-2027.

Purchased and processed at 14:00 on 24-08-2026 for that same day — the ECO vignette is valid from 14:00 on 24-08-2026 to 23:59 on 23-08-2027.

*When purchasing an ECO vignette starting "today", it becomes active once the order is processed, followed by 364 additional calendar days until 23:59 on the final day. The effective usable period may therefore be slightly less than 365 full days. You can purchase this vignette up to 3 months before the intended start date.

Vehicle eligibility Which vehicles qualify for the annual ECO vignette?

This ECO vignette applies to vehicles that satisfy every one of the following conditions:

  • a multi-track motor vehicle (passenger car),
  • maximum permissible weight up to 3,5 tonnes,
  • classified as ECO — plug-in hybrid with CO₂ emissions of 50 g/km or less.

  • vehicle registration number (as shown on the registration certificate),
  • country of vehicle registration.
