Most Italian motorways charge by the section you drive. With the Autopay toll box you use the Telepass lane, the barrier lifts on its own and we bill your trips together.

What do you pay for?
For driving on most motorways marked with green signs. The amount depends on the length of the section and the vehicle class.
Which vehicles?
Cars, motorcycles and motorhomes up to 3 m high and 3.5 t actual weight.
What is not covered?
ZTL zones in city centres – they are a separate system, and paying the motorway toll does not let you enter them.
How are you billed?
Your trips go on one invoice at the end of the month, and we collect the amount automatically.
At the toll booth
Which lane to choose at the toll booth
Before every toll plaza the lanes are marked with signs above the road. Which lane you take depends on how you pay.
Yellow sign with a “T”
Telepass
The lane for on-board devices. You drive through without stopping at up to 30 km/h.
Blue “Carte” sign
Payment card
You insert your ticket and pay by card at the machine. Queues build up here in high season.
White sign with a hand symbol
Cash
A cashier or a machine taking euro coins and notes. Usually the slowest lane.
Closed system
On most motorways you take a ticket on entry and pay on exit – the amount depends on the section driven and the vehicle class. With the toll box both steps happen automatically.

Standard or Premium for Italy
Both variants work in the Telepass lanes on Italian motorways. They differ in coverage, delivery and billing model.

Order the device before you leave – with standard delivery it arrives within 4 business days.

Pick a variant in the configurator and enter your delivery address.
Stick it to the windscreen
The device arrives active. Mount it behind the rear-view mirror.
Use the “T” lane
The antenna at the toll booth reads the device on entry and exit.
One invoice
After the month you get one statement for all your trips.
Before you go
Good to know about Italy
- Sicily Motorways in Sicily are covered only by the Premium variant. With Standard you pay there by card or in cash.
- ZTL zones Many city centres are limited traffic zones. Cameras record your entry and the fine arrives by post.
- Motorhomes and trailers The rate depends on the number of axles and the height. The device covers vehicles up to 3 m and 3.5 t.
