Vignette validity How is 1 day calculated?
The 1-day Austrian vignette is valid on the date specified in the order until 23:59 on that day. This means that if you purchase the vignette for the current day, its validity will end at the end of that day.
Example 1
A vignette purchased on 22-08-2026 with a validity date of 24-08-2026 is valid from 00:00 to 23:59 on 24-08-2026.
Example 2
A vignette purchased and activated at 14:00 on 24-08-2026 with the same validity date, i.e. 24-08-2026, is valid from 14:00 to 23:59 on that day.

Important Vignette limitations
- The vignette does not authorize entry into special zones in Vienna.
- The vignette does not cover selected tunnels and special road sections (a separate toll is required).

No printing required
The vignette is provided as an electronic PDF confirmation and is assigned to the motorcycle's registration number. There is no need to affix anything to the windshield, the motorcycle's fuel tank or carry a paper confirmation.
