About the 365-day Bulgarian vignette

Vignette validity How is the 365-day period counted?

An annual Bulgarian vignette is valid from 00:00 on the date given in the order until 23:59 on the day before the same date one year later. If that date does not exist, the vignette stays valid until the end of that month.

Blue pointer Example 1

A vignette starting on 24-08-2026 is valid from 00:00 on 24-08-2026 to 23:59 on 23-08-2027.

Blue pointer Example 2

A vignette ordered and completed at 14:00 on 24-08-2026 for 24-08-2026 is valid from 14:00 on 24-08-2026 to 23:59 on 23-08-2027.

*When bought "from today", validity starts at the moment the order is completed. The effective time can therefore be slightly shorter than a full 365 days.

Buying in advance

A Bulgarian vignette can be bought at most one month before its validity starts — that limit comes from the Bulgarian toll system.

Compatibility Is this vignette suitable for my vehicle?

Buy this vignette if your vehicle meets all of the following:

  • it is a multi-track vehicle (a car or a van),
  • its maximum permissible weight is no more than 3.5 tonnes,
  • it is registered for no more than 9 people including the driver.

Order details What do you need to prepare?

  • start date of the vignette validity,
  • the vehicle registration number,
  • the country of registration.

No printing required

The vignette is delivered electronically and linked to the vehicle registration number. Nothing has to be stuck on the windscreen or printed. Once the order is placed, the details can no longer be changed — the Bulgarian toll system does not allow it.
