About the Romanian goods vehicle vignette for 12 months

Vignette validity How long is the annual vignette valid?

The 12-month vignette runs from 00:00 on the start day until 24:00 on the day before the same date the following year.

Blue pointer Example 1

A vignette starting 01-07-2026 is valid until 24:00 on 30-06-2027.

Blue pointer Example 2

A vignette paid at 14:00 on 01-07-2026 starting the same day is valid from 14:00 on 01-07-2026 until 24:00 on 30-06-2027.

*The period of use covers both driving time and time spent parked on national roads — that is how Romanian ordinance OG 15/2002 defines it.

Buying in advance

A vignette can be bought at most 30 days before its validity starts. It also cannot be issued with a past date — the earliest it can apply is the day of purchase.

Compatibility Does this vignette fit my vehicle?

Buy this vignette if your vehicle meets all of the following:

  • it is a goods transport vehicle (category B in the Romanian tariff),
  • its maximum authorised weight is no more than 3.5 tonnes,
  • you will find the vehicle category in field J and the maximum authorised weight in field F1 of the registration certificate.

No printing required

The vignette is issued electronically and linked to the vehicle registration number. Nothing to stick on the windscreen, nothing to print. Remember not to set off before you receive confirmation that the vignette has been issued.
