About the Swiss annual vignette

Vignette validity How is the annual vignette validity period determined?

In Switzerland, there is only one type of vignette with a fixed validity date "for a given year". The 2026 vignette (includes December 2025) can be purchased from December 1, 2025 until November 30, 2026 and is valid until January 31, 2027 (until 23:59).

Example 1

A 2026 vignette purchased on January 15, 2026 is valid from the time of purchase until January 31, 2027.

Example 2

A 2026 vignette purchased on November 30, 2026 is valid from the time of purchase until January 31, 2027 (only 2 months).
